David Cox was sentenced Thursday in Fairbanks Superior Court. Cox went to trial in February on charges of first-degree murder and evidence tampering in the death of Gary Lee Titus, 22, on July 22, 2006. But Cox pleaded no contest to the murder charge before the case went to a jury. Cox's attorney, Susan Carney, maintains that Cox drew his .22-caliber handgun and began firing because he thought Titus, who was accompanied by six or seven other young men, had planned to rob him. Poop Moose Has Bottomed Out!!!

theSam!! says: I found this story online. And it's sad.. *lifts head and eats* to see that a true Alaskan cultural icon like this has to FALL by the wayside. And ann... *lifts head and eats* I see these items in stores all over the place too. We even got one. But the niftiest thing was theCollapsible Alaskan Outhouse. It was like,,, a puzzle. And you'd assemble it and stand it up. Then an unsuspecting person (preferably someone that ISN'T Alaskan) comes along and see the cute curio and grabs the tiny Outhouse door to peek inside and...... *Crash!!* ...the whole set up collapses. Anyway, on with theMoose story. I mean... *lifts head and eats* at the height of this guys success. which for a REAL Moose would be about 5.4feet considering that the...the.. you know.. Drops out the.... I'm sure we've all seen things like this elsewhere, I'm glad to see someone is taking a stand and speaking out. Please repost and spread the news. SamuelLFlyinghorse ----------------- Active Citizens for Tribal Truth (ACTT), I like the sound of that. Very direct and optimistic, yet I can’t help but wonder what is meant by truth? If truth means something that cannot be questioned or denied, & everything else is a lie, then those seeking tribal truth should also be open to their own lies. Especially those that helped create many of the social problems we see on our reservation today. Problems like, 1/3 of our women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes, and 4800 annual reports of child abuse & neglect, problems that carry no monetary or popularity gain, so they are rarely heard on the council floor.
